Combi Bracelet is on my new GW-M5610 - One happy bunny

So NOW I have my perfect vacation watch

Yesterday I ordered the combi bracelet from TikTox in the the UK and an excellent service as it arrived today. I spoke to them after placing the order and they even threw in the 19mm spring bars so hats off to them.

Despite trying, I really could not get used to the stock resin band. Not because of anything to do with the band or material but as I have mentioned on the previous threads in this little saga of mine, one hole was too tight and the other too loose so this was my only option and I was looking forward to trying it. I was a little apprehensive as I read a few reviews where people had found it quite a challenge to fit the bracelet. I must admit it did take some time (about half an hour) and a fair bit of patience to ensure no scuffs or scrapes were caused in the process.

First things first, the strap came out of the packing, depicting the part number.

Next I wanted to check on the weight of the watch with the resin band so I could see the difference once the bracelet was on and sized. This came out at 49g

A couple of people had said that it was easier to fit the bracelet with the bezel removed, so that came next

Next was along with the bezel removal, probably the easiest bit, removing the resin band

Fitting the combo bracelet was really tricky. It requires patience and if not careful it would by quite easy to scuff or scrape your spring bar tool across the watch or bracelet and cause an annoying scratch. It took about half an hour, even using the 19mm spring bars provided by TikTox. If I want to be totally OCD about it I would say that even with these spring bars they aren't 100% a perfect fit. They are perfectly in place and locked into the holes and they aren't going to come out but if I look carefully there is a very slight bow to the spring bars and they aren't dead straight. Either I was perhaps sent the incorrect spring bars or this is as good as it gets on a combi bracelet that wasn't 100% designed for the GW-M5610 specifically. Either way its a solid fit and I'm not going to drive myself nuts finding out.

So after sizing the bracelet by removing two of the links, I compared the weight to when fitted with the resin band and its now 91g

Even though it is almost double the weight now, it is still extremely light. To but it into context, I compared it to my Seiko Sarx, which is by no means a heavy watch and itself is extremely comfortable

So with two links removed and micro-adjusted to the second of 4 holes it is the perfect fit for my wrist and extremely comfortable. I am really pleased I took the time to research the ideal vacation watch and the additional bracelet and I am sure this is now going to get a lot more wrist time than just a vacation. With MB6 and Solar and this new look, what more could a person want for their first ever G.

So here it is in all its glory

This leaves me with a brand new factory resin strap with spring bars that I cannot see I am going to use. I am based in the UK so if you can make use of it then just PM me and I'd be glad to post it off to you.

Combi are great replacements for the cheapo feeling versions of the G straps.

I have no idea why there are 5 additional upside down photos at the bottom of the post. I will try to remove them.

Edit: I've removed them, that was really odd.

Congrats on finding your perfect fit! Thanks for following through with your journey to find a good bracelet instead of the stock strap. Nice photos, too. Looks like it fits you well! Wear it in good health.

I’m not aware of another combi bracelet (other than the black/red one) that can be bought on its own.

That Seiko is gorgeous. Automatic I presume?

Do Seiko do a quartz version?
