    Re: compass

    I have the Sunnto Clipper:

Fits the DW-5600 19mm strap well. It's tight on the 20mm G-7800 strap (which is slightly higher as well) and takes some effort to put on/remove. It couldn't take more than a 20mm and "thick" (i.e. height) G-Shock strap. Not sure what the Riseman has but you want to check it out.

The compass is filled with oil so is completely water resistant and I have seen divers use these underwater no problems. Plastic "glass" which will scratch eventually but it's good quality for the price - I doubt you'd be able to get a very high-end mini watch compass anyway. The buckle is strong but plastic has slight frilling (due to the inaccuracy of the mould). It is strong enough however and pretty much only affects it aesthetically (I have high attention to detail, most people wouldn't care I bet!) It should last a fair while I guess. It doesn't slide around either which is good.

It's meant to be one of the best/the best around. Works well and when it's horizontal always spins around properly with a smooth action. It's not like those mega cheap one which kind of float inaccurately/loosely without any purpose. The oil inside gives it a nice quality glide to it and there isn't a lot of play like in some cheap compasses I remember from school. The bezel rotates and seems to have resistance using plastic torquing methods. Good for quick check.

I'd recommend it, it's only £10 so it's not a lot of dough and worth the money I recon for a quick basic compass. MUCH cheaper than buying another compass watch and for basic functions/quick orientation this would do the job just as well. I use it in a basic fashion for navigating my general orientation (to find general direction) when I go on long bike rides (i.e. anything over 50km).

    Re: compass

Good design I like the design, easy to use and I don't get confused due to the big arrow for north and bold colours. It comes in white as well.

By the way it's a clipper so can clip on at any point and you don't have to slide it up all the way up the whole strap. If that makes any difference... Being this it doesn't slide around up/down either.
