Could you please advise me on G-shock

Hello, I'm looking for a tough as nails watch to work out in and do some swimming. I would like analog hands with some solid lume. Looking at Amazon it seems there are quite a few Casio models that would fill my needs.

Any suggestions would be great appreciated!

    Is this a solid piece?

rock solid - there are no fragile G Shocks really. You can download the manual here http://www.generalmanual.com/Watches...ck-Watches.htm

It has a backlight - I don't think the lume is up to much (it generally is not on G Shocks, aside from the GW-2000 which is decent).

It has no countdown timer if that is important to you in an exercise watch.

Does it have to have analogue hands ?

Yes, I would prefer analog hands. What do you think of the atomic solar ones? Seems pretty cool huh?

That Atomic Solar is pretty cool actually. And based on the reviews, it's a fairly priced watch.

If it doesn't have to be Casio, have you checked out the Seiko Monster? Or even the SKX007 would do a killer job.

For a super tough watch (not analog), I'd recommend either the G-Shock Mudman or the DW5600e.

I actually bought a Seiko Monster at Macy's the other day and the crown was stuck. I liked that thing.
