    Smile Ctl-1616

    Hi All...

I just wanted to let you know that I picked up a few CTL-1616s from Casio parts center for $7.50 each and they were marked Japan 2 vice Japan 1.

Voltage out of the bag was 2.486 VDC

    Thanks for all the help.

    Chris

That's a funny coincidence. I picked up two GW-300 models with a new CLT1616 this afternoon. It costed me €30,- together (including 200m waterproof test). Good luck on you battery change,

    Cheers,

    Sjors

I will check the full charged voltage of CTL, but I believe CTL1616 is 2V and CR1616 is 3V. That why when I replaced CR1616 to CTL1616 the EL is extremely bright!

    Hi Asuoab,

I don't kow the exact voltage of the Litiu cells, but I believe they drop fast in the beginning to a equillibrium level. 3V can mean everything between 2.5 and 3.4V. I once had a bad batch of CR-1616's. I believe some of them were just above 2.1V. It's like those penlight batteries. The package says 1.5V, while in real most of them give a steady 1.2V after a short time of usage.

    Cheers,
