    Current G-Shocks with Amber Backlight?

Title says it all. Wanting to know if there are any current model G-Shocks with an amber backlight. Dual Illuminator a plus too. The long-since discontinued G-9000-8 Mudman (aka 'Stormtrooper') is rare and pricey. I missed the boat by several years on the Stormtrooper, but might be interested in a similar G-Shock if it ticks all the right boxes.

    Any ideas?

NICE!!! Thanks for posting! I've been looking to add a 6900 to the herd, but at nearly $600 it's not going to happen with this one!

I honestly don't know why Casio doesn't make amber illumination a standard feature on more watches. I much prefer it to the standard green, and venture to guess so do many others!

Some current G-Shocks have the Super Illuminator (with white LEDs). For example, the GD-350, GD-120 and GW-9400 have this. Personally, I find some of these white LED displays too bright for use in the dark and I prefer my older Gs with more subtle blue-green EL backlights. My understanding is that Casio uses the white LEDs because they save power compared to the EL backlights. Of course slightly dimmer white LEDs would presumably save even more power.

Yeah, I have the GD-350 and I know what you mean. Like turning on a flashlight! I LOVE the vibration feature of that module, but the LED lighting is excessive!

u can actually find all the info u need on the casio international site, under the pic of every single model.
    G-SHOCK - Watches - CASIO

for some weird reason the main casio.com site does not show the info.

but i have not seen any models recently with amber and dual illuminator.
the ones with amber nowadays are just leds, just like the white ones but not as bright.

True, but who has the time to look at each G-Shock individually on the Casio website? Certainly not I!!! 😊

Better to tap into the collective wisdom and sage advice of the G-Shock community on this forum. It is, after all, why we all gather here, no? The forum knows ALL!!! 😊
