    Dead GW3000B-1ACR value?

So I found 1 of these that has sat in a a guys dresser for the better part of a year.
Will not charge in light at all.
Know I can get a battery for around $20.00 not sure about a new seal (if even needed).
What is a fair price to buy this for?
The guy wanted $100.00 thinking it still worked.

Bet it would come to life if left in direct sunlight for a week. I have resurrected a bunch of seemingly dead Solars given a few days or more of sunshine. Sometimes 5 days is needed. Eventually every single one came to life. Have never changed a solar battery...haven't needed to.

Have him try the Sun and if it works give him the Benjamin.

(artificial light is not usually strong enough, they need direct sun)

GW-3000 are terrific G-Shocks and worth the effort to get up to speed.

Exactly! Here's the "charging chart" from the GW-3000 manual at http://ftp.casio.co.jp/pub/world_manual/wat/en/qw5121.pdf

From "completely empty" to "fully charged" in direct sunlight: 26 hours.
From "completely empty" to "fully charged" in direct sunlight through a window: 96 hours.
From "completely empty" to "fully charged" in a window on cloudy days or with indoor lighting: Casio won't even bother to estimate how many weeks it would take!
