Deciding between GW6900 or GD100BW-1....Need a Little Help.

    Hi Everyone,

So I would like to order one of these watches in the next couple of days to add to my very small, but growing, collection.

Can't decide between the GW6900 or the GD100BW-1 (with the mirrored LCD).

Wondered if I may ask for some opinions from the experts here....the choice and why?

Appreciate any and all help and insight!! :)

6900 is old news. GD 100 is fresh and new. I'd go GD in a snap.

I have the gw6900 kind of by accident, it was for sale at a ridiculous cheap price. I added a composite band on it and a year down the line i still love it, but i am a fan of the 6900 series. i don't own a gd100. why don't you do a poll?

I'd go with the GW6900. Aside from my 9300 Mudmen the GW6900 is by far my favorite. I wear it to work every night because it is comfortable, accurate (atomic), and has all the features I need as far as alarms and timers. It is a perfect everyday watch.

A 6900 is a mainstay and should be a staple watch in every g-shock collection. Gw6900!

I'm am newer to G-Shocks and own both a 6900 and two gd100's. The 6900 is an iconic G (as is the 5000/5600), but i don't care for wearing it (7-1/2" to 8" wrist). I love wearing my gd100's (especially the ms-3!). I like the size, and the comfort.
Personally i'd tell you to go grab the brilliant black, wear it and enjoy it (you will enjoy that watch), and take your time and figure out which 6900 you want (there is a plethora available). Then get it. Enjoy your growing collection!

chrisek are you saying if you have large wrists the GW6900 is not a good fit?

The garish black GD-100 is super sexy, along with the 6900GB, I'd consider those as the best looking in the garish black series.

It's a no brainer for me, but saying that I have a GW-6900 on my wrist right now...so my judgement is obviously biased :)

@tic-toc/g-shock. I feel whenever giving a personal opinion on a watch the wrist size should be considered too. Just fair to the OP. I have completely fallen into the barrel of XL lemonade and am enjoying it.
