    Yea I think the least of their worries is whether their watches are syncing. That said no reason why it would not be working unless they shut it down to conserve electricity.

    I felt the same way. They've got a potential nuclear catastrophe, a shattered infrastructure, literally thousands of bodies washing up on the beaches, not to mention millions of people without food, water, or power. Does it really matter right now if their atomic clock is working and transmitting?
