    Delivered today, my 2nd G-Shock!

Very excited about the UPS delivery today. A brand new Solar Atomic GW-5600J, my 2nd G-Shock! My other is the Solar Atomic GW-500A.
I've always liked the clean, crisp look of the 5600's and I can't believe the price on this, bought and delivered for under $70.00, a great deal for a Solar Atomic G that looks as nice as this.
To abide by the rules, send me a PM if you want to know where I got this.

An excellent choice. I will probably end up with one myself eventually.

Re: Delivered today, my 2nd G-Shock!

Thanks, Lex. I've read a couple of times here that a 5600 is a must for any G collector. It didn't take much to convince me, I liked the looks of them all along and it's a nice contrast to my round GW-500A.
Like the 500A, I had no problem receiving the signal last night in Maine, but I have to believe I'm right on the edge of the signal if my math is right. So far, so good.
Will look to charge the battery today, I recieved it on medium charge. One thing I look to do is keeping my battery strength on high. Maybe somebody can help find the old thread (I will find it eventually) but I believe somebody once posted that the battery in these solar watches only have so many cycles in which it can go from high-to-low, high-to-low, etc.. I believe he said 15 or so. He also said that theoretically if you constantly had the power maxed out all the time, the battery would last forever. Whether it's true or not or whether I'm remembering it correctly I'm not sure, but I walked away with the feeling that the battery would last longer if it was constantly charged to the max. I would love to find that thread..
