Did I miss the buzz about the GWN 1000?

Whilst on a recent holiday, I came across a 'new' quad sensor G Shock I wasn't familiar with, called the Gulfmaster GWN1000. The quad sensor, as I'm sure I'm the last to learn is 'D'. a depth sensor. Now, when I dip my arm in a bucket of water to wash my car I know the depth is around 30/40cm, so have absolutely no need for this type of sensor, but I'm sure some of you real men out there do? Just curious why I haven't herad more about it as it's a very striking watch...

Yes that would be the Gulfmaster GWN-Q1000. That is the model that has been problematic for many people. It is otherwise known around here as the Gulfmaster version 2, or Gv2 for short.

The ver 1 Gulfmaster, GWN-1000, is still around, still being produced, and is NOT known to have the "hour hand" problem that the Gv2 has exhibited.
