    Exclamation Dismembered G-315RL "Project" - Help/advice needed!

    Good afternoon fellow G enthusiasts!!

I have received today, a G-315RL as an Ebay purchase. I bought it already in pieces, the seller stating he took it all apart attempting to install new batteries, yeah right!

So I knew it had basically been stripped down before I bought it. I need someone to look at the photos below & if possible, tell me where the two loose pieces need to be located? I have all the relevant other bits to put it back together after these ones are correctly in place. I've not worked this deep on an analogue G before, my "expertise" stretches to doing batteries and/or just removing the module as one piece!!

If anyone has any experience of this sort of work, I'd appreciate a layman's terms lesson please!! The watch is a little beaten up, but I'd really like to be able to get it going again.

Sorry the pics are a little fuzzy, let me know if I need to take some more.

    Pics:

    Thanks for any help/advice/tutoring!!

    Rick

I don't know anything about this stuff but this is a fun thread.

I would think maybe like this:
    Name: Untitled-rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr1.jpg
Views: 153
Size: 190.3 KB
The thin thingy goes in the hole with the thin part facing down.
Then the sprocket on top of that with the pointy thing up.

But I would wait for somebody else to chime in :)

Cheers for your idea, however - the small piece, (magnetic BTW) maybe goes in the centre like you said, but the larger sprocket also has a spindle on the other side from the photo, so will need a hole to sit in. Then I would expect all 4 to be "joined" and turn together?

    Anyone else?

If its any help, I think the 'small piece' is actually one of the hand-motors, so it's likely that its shaft should connect directly with one of the hands...?

Makes sense, at the moment the minute hand is loose and just spins around. Maybe the hand motor as you call it goes on the hole under the grey cog in the photo & the loose white cog in the larger hole under that? I'll give it a go tomorrow
