Do you Like G-Shocks without Light ?

    Hi there !
there is a lot of models without Light:

    DW-6200
    DW-5900
    WW-5X00
    DW-500
GS-1000 (yes, the new GIEZ !)

Do you Know another one ?
It is very important to collectors like me that do not feel good
when somebody asks you "What time is it ?" at night...
I guess It would seems like a broken watch...wouldn´t it ?...
Now, think the same scene with an Auto E.L. G-Shock
    on your wirst !!!!!????

    Best Regards...

p.s.: I know the models I´ve listed above are very rare and I respect
their owners because they are still G-Shocks !

I don't think I could live with a G that does not come with EL... :-D

Both my Gs come with Auto-EL,which is a very useful function.

    Cheers,
    MountainMike

    Hello Mangrich,
If I was a collector, I wouldn't mind a g-shock without EL. Actually, even if I wasn't that serious a collector, the dw5x00 models for me are exempt from any such requirement. Pieces of Casio histroy imho.

Otherwise I wouldn't buy a g-shock without EL. It's part of the fun of owning these digitals. Actually that's why I bought a Timex originally, because of INIDIGLO.

I do have an auto EL function with my g-shock. From memory MountainMike and myself would be the minority as to the number of people that find the function usefull/desirable . I wouldn't mind getting rid of "afterglow". I'd like every g-shock the have the the EL as a toggle with no 3-4 sec count. Also, they really need to fix it so you can actually see functions at night.....

Only if there are tritium markers to make up for the lack of a backlight .

    Hi Manrich,

Archggg, does the WW-5X00 have no microlight.... They look so cute! Never know that.

As a person that likes to work and live in dim light surroundings at least a microlight is wanted on my watch. The EL-Backlight works as a big magnets to me. I have a DW-5900 and two DW-6200. I have worn them only once or twice (There is even somewhere a picture of me with a DW-6200 Rallly somewhere).

Well, I'm currently wearing this on my left wrist:

and this on my right wrist:

    Cheers,
