Do you think a Protrek and a G-shock...

What do you think about this: is a Protrek and a G-shock the same? same structure and materials as well?

G-Shocks are more robust, I believe.

Plus, the Protreks seem to be only 50m-100m WR. I saw one with a depth gauge that was only 100m. Are there any 200m Protreks? It seems to me if you're going to have a depth gauge, the watch should be at least be 200m.

I think the point is that it's more than tough enough (i.e. shock-resistant), but that it doesn't meet the criteria of a G-Shock. If it did, it would be called a 'G-Shock Protrek', or something similar. Remember that G-Shocks are extremely tough, and could be said to be over-engineered (which is part of their appeal), but this doesn't mean that other Casio watches are not tough enough.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

as for my expereince the protreks although tough watches are not as tough as g shocks.the earlier protrek watches like prt 40 were infact pretty fragile watches which would usually not survive few high falls,it is my personal experience,,,but the newer prg series protreks seem to be much tougher than their predecessors, one of my prg 60 watch actually got hit and fell pretty badly many times but it still has not even got a scratch, though the toughness of protreks varies with individual models,i feel that prg 60 with steel bezel was stronger than others,
so i guess that its safe to say that though pretty tough the protreks are not as stubborn as g shocks.infact my prg 70 alreday has a lot of scratches after just minor use,and in watch toughness the glass also counts.

I think the old G Shocks are like the the new protreks or pathfinders ! The new G Shocks sold in the USA are not even close to the quality of a Old G or a new Pathfinder !! But Casio is making some SOLD only in Japan that are real HI quality like days of old with even better tech just my 2 cewnts !
