Do you wear your watch with patched up resin?

Here is a DW-8200NK 'Men in Navy and Khaki' that I have.

Unfortunately the bezel has split in a couple of places.

I do have a spare new bezel for it.

However, in the meantime, I have just patched it up and still continue to wear it (wore it to work all day today) and will carry on doing that until it crumbles completely, when I will switch it to the new bezel.

I did this with an old MRG-1 five years ago. The watch went from this........

    ........to this, using this bezel.

Five years later it still wears that 'Bride of Frankenstein' bezel, though admittedly it has hardly bee worn.

So do any others try and eke out more life out of resin by patching it before having to finally trace and fit new resin?

Thumbs Up Re: Do you wear your watch with patched up resin?

Wish I had a camera to show my handiwork...
I have a MTG900-DA-8V which is 15 yrs. old (orig. battery!) whose resin end pieces, that attach the bracelet to the case, disintegrated approx. 3 yrs. ago. Luckily no crumbling, only the resin split and the pins pulled through. My fix was Shoe Goo, one of my favorite tools/adhesives! Try it you'll love it!

That would drive me insane. I'm juuuuuuuuust OCD-adjacent enough that even a small defect on my watch bezel would make me need a new one.

Correct! My watches, my front garage, my motorbike, my car are all preened and polished. The rest of the house and everything else are prey to my 3 teens, my wife and our long haired cat who simply wreck everything they touch!
