Does anyone else Baby their G-Shocks?

I've bought 3 new G-Shocks in the last 3-4 weeks and I have been enjoying them but I noticed something, I only wear my 9 year old G2110 when I am doing something where I am sweating and getting really dirty.
The new ones stay inside the house, nice and clean.
I know eventually they will get used and abused but I am still in the new and fresh smelling stage.
Am I nuts or do you guys do the same?

I used to be the same but am much more relaxed about them now, though I still keep a couple for when I want to look smart. My G-800BD is one of them.

That´s the reason because i sold the ones i dont have the "fever" (sold only 2 Gs guys, don´t beat me...lol), now i use the new ones all the time. But the stormtrooper muddie can´t be taked to the gym, the rust there just turn the straps orange.

    Go Team Bravus!!

I'm totally guilty of babying my G-Shocks, in fact I do this with all watches. That's why I bought one specific G as a "daily beater" so I don't have to worry about it

I don't like getting scratches or marks on my watches, so I am pretty careful about that. I have a few that I care less about, and will not stress over wearing them in the ocean, or when doing sports. But for rare or limited edition watches, or watches for which there are no spare parts available, I will either wear them very carefully or not at all. So it depends on the watch. I never intentionally abuse any watch just to see what it can take.

My rarest ones have their own hard plastic soap boxes to reside in. I like this better than my many slot watch case I have as the original straps are not stressed. I guess you could say that is getting babied lol. Cheers-Ronbo

    Guilty as charged!!!

I "baby" all my Gs at the moment... The ProTrek is my so-called "daily beater" as it is really in pretty bad shape after so many years of abuse...

I try to be careful with all my watches of cos... But sometimes $&!?$&%# just happens...

I don't really baby my Gs as I use them everyday to the gym after work. But when It comes to car repairs, I always get my tried and tested DW6900 or my Ironman because of its thin profile.

Only the ones that say 'Baby' on them : )

Actually, I used to worry about abuse and wear.
Now I don't care. If I break it I have an excuse to get another!

I absolutely baby my Gs. I want to keep them looking nice as long as possible. My beater, for now, is my old solar/atomic WVQ400. After a couple of years, when it's showing some wear, my G9000 will probably get the call for camping, hiking, yard work, etc. A new G just looks so good, I hate to think of getting it nicked up!
