Does Casio make all metal watches any more?

I'm not talking about Edifices or G-Shocks either. I'm talking about their standard watch line. I could be crazy but when I was a kid it seemed like you could get a 'standard' watch that was all metal, including the case. It seems to me that all Casios in this range today have a metal band with a colored plastic case.

Is the case on the A-158 metal? I have the gold version and it is definitely gold colored plastic.

    A lot of full-metal models:

...there are even some nice, cheap screwbacks with all ss construction.

This is a MTP 4500, sorry, it´s in Parts, so no better shots ATM:

The 7900's are my favourites, although the 56s are currently my focus. But nothing is excluded, except pink Risemans.

I think all the AMW models have full metal cases. However AFAIK Casio does currently not produce an all metal digital apart from the G-Shock Frogman and 5000 re-issues like GW-5000 or DW-5000SL.

    Cheers, Sedi

Thanks I should've specified digital :). I think back in the 80s (not sure about 90s) you could find a fair amount of Casio digitals with metal cases. I actually really like my gold tone a-168. The case material just seems to scratch easily.

Actually I think you're right about the A-158. Amazon has the watch listed as having a metal case.

Looks like the gold tone databank sports a plastic case :(.

Re: Does Casio make all metal watches any more?

Fairly recently, CASIO did reissue an all metal non G-Shock model, but made the illusion of it being all metal. It's the B640WB. The bracelet is metal, but the case is resin. And so is the case on the A-158 (according to Casio International) through A-168, despite what it says on Amazon.

For these lower end watches, CASIO is not going to make the cases out of metal. If you really want that, you'll have to buy a vintage model. Like this one:
