Does Casio regularly make the same model in different factories?

This question arises after acquiring a GWM850-1ER from the UK which is stamped "Made in China." My older GWM850-1 bought in Canada is made in Thailand. Does Casio regularly make the same model in different places for specific markets? FWIW, I can't tell the difference between the two without looking at the caseback.

I don't think they really ever paralleled production in multiple locations. They probably shifted production from Thailand to China. That has been the general trend... from [current country] to China. (I only frown, because China makes too much of the world's goods, and there needs to be a re-balancing).
