That does it! Fake G's on YJA!!

Just wanted to post this as a warning to others out there who might be looking to Yahoo Japan for a used G to add to the collection. Thjis one is obviously a fake, but there seem to be a few other styles which may lead to soeone with a dissappointing purchase.

EDIT: here's the link that should have been added ;)

And what leads you to believe it is a fake?

What's wrong with the pic? I've seen it in other images, including this one:

The Search function on vBulletin forums isn't very smart. If you want to search for a complete string in the G-Shock forum, or for posts which include multiple words, use Google, and enter site:forums.watchuseek.com/f17 into the search box. Then use normal google syntax after that to enter your search.

Thanks, that's the pic I was remembering:

Sure looks real to me when compared to the OP's pic:

Sorry guys, disreagrd the first pic, I copied the wrong link. The one leading this (and I'll include an edit to the original posting) was for an Evangeline model.

Here's the correct link for the fake Froggie:

    ★S-SHOCK◆G-SHOCKフロッグマン風★デジタル腕時計/防水 e - Yahoo!オークション

    Several others on there too...

    It's not a fake G, it's a genuine S

It's not a fake G-Shock - it says "S-Shock" right on it!

It says "mudman" on the crystal, but has no mud protection over the buttons.

The Japanese wording says 'G-Shock like'. In the absolute sense, it is not fake but just a similar watch called 'S-Shock'.
