Does the GW-5000 use the same bezel screws as the DW-5600E?

Or any other model? Or are the GW-5000 bezel screws unique to this model only? I am not talking about the GW-5000B, just the regular GW-5000

Definitely seems to be. The case size and form is pretty much the same as the 25th anniversary models DW-5025D and DW-5000SL. The resin strap is not only made of a softer kind of plastic but also a bit (~4 mm) shorter than the other ones. Apart from that, though, everything seems identical in terms of size and position.

I haven't taken them apart, though. And certainly don't intend to, especially the GW-5000.

    Hi,
there was a thread about that some time ago. The bezels are the same but not the bezel screws as you need different screws for plastic and steel (the screw threads are different - plastic uses a coarse thread and steel a fine thread). The screws of the 5000 models are all the same however: DW-5000SL, DW-5025, GW-5000, etc.

And in case of lingering doubt, I'd just as soon not risk it as actual model-specific screws for the GW-5000 are probably still obtainable... play it safe and order the actual screws. Or so I would.

I'm with Paul. The cases of the DW-6900's are different from tbe G(W)-6900's. It might also be for the GW-5000, as it was practically a new designed watch. It's not quite a cheap one, so I would definetely only use original GW-5000 screws.

    Cheers,

Sorry to correct our moderator Sjors, but the cases just considering the form are the same between GW-5000 and DW-5600E - but because of the different material different screws are used. Therefore the bezels are interchangeable but the screws are not.
