Down to a single G? Say it ain't so!

Well, I'm down to a single G, my GW5600bcj. The others, including my lovely all-black Giez (note to self: update avatar pic) are gone. I just don't think I can do it. I think I shall be limiting myself to 3-4 (maybe 5) watches.

Of course, the main reason I sold some off is that I placed an order for a lovely watch I've admired for a while now: the Stowa Airman Original Serial edition. This will take a year before it's ready so I'm starting to save my pennies now. It's a gift to myself as this year I will be finishing my PhD. The watch will be ready a few months after my defence (which I had better damn well pass now).

Anyway, unless Casio comes up with a really nice G, like a pathfinder G, I'll have to make due with my 5600, which is certainly a classic!

    Pics of my grail:

You're finishing your PhD? No, no, no... I am so jealous . I am doing my proposal right now, and it is really pain in the arse .

All kidding aside, I am glad you're finishing your PhD jail time . May I have the honor to call you Dr.Statius !!

Nice. Always a good idea to restructure the collection from time to time. Brings back the fun. I went from divers to vintage wristalarms to G-Shocks - I wonder what will be next.

That is a hot watch. I love Stowa's, but I wished they would make some watch that has at least 100m wr.

Yeah, I hear your on that. I was contemplating an Ocean7 for a while because of that, but then thought perhaps one day I'll just get both (if I ever get a job with tenure!). This is the Ocean7 I like (shot borrowed from siddhartha, who hopefully won't mind as it's better than the company's shot):
