    DW-5030 vs DW-5030C button question

I just got a dw-5030c (used watch) and I noticed the buttons are much easier to press than my dw-5030 that I built from parts. I had an "official" dw-5030 before as well, because I bought a gset. But I don't remember if it was the same.

For anyone who has a dw-5030 and dw-5030c, are the buttons easier on the dw-5030c?

Odd but it feels like the 5030 buttons travel further and stand out more, I would say stiffer as well, but I have worn the 5030C a lot.

Interesting. Ok thanks. Maybe just manufactuting sample variation. Or maybe the silver 5030 usually has stiffer buttons.

Re: DW-5030 vs DW-5030C button question

I'd imagine manufacturing as well as assembly variations. Aside from the disparity of parts when they are ordered separately (as opposed to being made together for in-factory assembly) there could also be variations in the assembly methods and environments that would cause a different in feel.

But I've known button springs to soften a bit with time, so it's probably all fine.

I have just checked the buttons on the second 5030 that I have which is in box unused and they feel much stiffer than the 5030C.

I have two 5030s. One is a bit stiffer than the other.

I don't notice any difference in the buttons on my DW-5030 vs. 5030C.
