Wink DW-5600 is the NASA classic!

I still can't access Watchuseek at school, probably because the vBulletin software seems to conflict with the Firewall of the schools network, like Seamaster yesterday suggested

I a moment with not much work, I began to search G-Shock watches on the NASA website. I have made a load of links to huge (1.5 to 2.5Mb) Hires pictures. I won't post the whole picture, because of the size of these images.

G-Shocks, mainly DW-5600C's and DW-5600E's (I believe a G-5600) and simlar model can be found on many picuter showing Astronauts doing their job in space. Also a ProTrek(!) and a DW-5900 can be spotted!

So here's my afternoon collection of today:

Re: DW-5600 is the NASA classic!

    Wow! Two, three G-Shocks.
Timing multiple target times, experiments, orbit points, etc.

It makes me think that the Countdown Timer should have a user-entry text field so that the astronaunts could input a name on each timer associated with the experiment to which the timer is assigned-- so they don't mix up what timer is assigned to which experiment! This would be helpful in my wife's multiple sample chemistry lab work! (see other thread about if multi-timer G-Shock: https://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=34826)

    Great NASA G-Shock pics, Sjors!
    Thanks.
    regards,
    James

Fantastic, Sjors! The watch with a wide blue band in the third from last picture looks a bit crude, though. Probably a Timex.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

Great! Thought it was just a sales story, but it seems the 5600 really is space-proof!

    Tribe125,

Haha, I was wondering what that thing was. Can't be a Timex. Timex only makes runner's watches. :-D

Cool pics, though. Never knew the 5600 was so popular with NASA.

I wonder if the battery replacement on the 5900 was changed by CASIO?

I think that guy was the wining bidder on an EBay listing:-D
