My one and only screwback. Made in Japan. Anyone know what the H next to Japan means?

Beautiful watch! I don’t know why they say “H”, but I know they’ve been saying it for a long time.

The H, J, M, amongst others is just a factory designation as far as I know. You see it on some older Korea 6600's and I've also seen China made G's with a factory letter as well.

    My 5735d has a "H" also but my 5000 has a "K"...

Thanks. I wear her occasionally, I want to keep the gold pristine as long as possible.

Very interesting... Always good to learn something new. I've never had one of these but they're good looking watches.

I've put my 5735D thru pretty hard wear and the IP gold has held up extremely well fwiw. Better than my stainless square somehow. I think it's very tough stuff. I thought the metal keeper would get bad desk rash (I have a stone top desk) and it hasn't any.
