    DW-6300. Is this a Fake?

    Hello friends.

Went to a guy to unlock my mobile phone today and guess what I saw? This one that looks like a frogman but doesn´t say frogman on the back. It´s quite heavy and by my limited knowledge I would say it´s not a fake. The protective sticker is still on the back, its blue in colour not black, hope you can see that in the pictures I took.It has no manual and no box,but came with a old casio display stand.
The guy has 2 of them and the asking price is ridiculous. I told him that I would buy it and take it with me but can return it for a refund within a week.

So what is this "thing". Should I keep it?
    Thanks in advance,Cheers

    Looks good to me.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

Others please correct me if I'm wrong, but the DW-6300 was basically the grandfather to the Frogman, though it's not actually printed on it. And it also looks pretty good to me, just check to make sure every button works and does what it's supposed to. And you can see more on Sjors website here.

What do you mean by "...asking price is ridiculous"? Cheap, or expensive?

Looks good to me too. The caseback is right.

How 'bout this for a military quote Topher - "An army of deer led by a lion is more to be feared than an army of lion led by a deer." If I recall correctly that's attributed to Alexander the Great.

Hi, thanks for the link to Sjors. The price is very cheap, 15 Euros to be exact, thats was the reason I thougt something was fishy with the thing.

That's pretty good...added to my quote journal. How about this:
"Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the
act of depriving a whole nation of arms, as the blackest."
    Gandhi's Autobiography, pg 446

15 Euros...too bad shipping would probably be just as much to get it to the states...then the weak dollar to Euro conversion to deal with.

Well, congrats on what looks to be a good find. You could probably buy the other one and put it on ebay and make enough to pay for the first!

I can't help thinking the 80 targets should be added to the 10 who don't belong there.

I love the G. That low price would have made me suspicious too. Congratulations.

OMG!!! You lucky guy, those are the first frogmans. I had one some time ago but gave it off to a Japanese friend who begged me for it. You could definitely sell the other on Ebay for a good price to cover the other one and have something left over for another G :) WELL DONE TO GRAB EM!!!
