    DW-8700-1VZ a nice surprise

Sometimes you really do get lucky with an impulsive ebay buy, and it was only £10.50.

I had no idea what I'd think of this watch, but as soon as I unwrapped it, I went, "wow. I like this"! It's roughly the size of a G-9000 Mudman, and has all the good old fashioned features like 24 hour CDT, current time shown in ALL modes, and the ability to set an alarm date.

The light button is in the opposite location than normal, but I'll adjust. The display is clear and easy to read, and the graphic, while different, may actually be more useful than any of the others I've seen. I kinda like it.

The watch sits perfectly on my wrist and is very comfortable. I think I got lucky with this one!

    Cheers,
    Bruce

Thanks mate! I don't have nearly as many as a lot of these guys, but if you count the combined of mine and wifey's, we have 15 or 16 with another one inbound. I didn't count the two Baby Gs.

That's awesome Bruce...... I have 6, including the wife's baby-g. And I would not sell any of them.... each time I wear one, (not the baby tho) I think to myself, "I really like this watch."

    Have a great day!

    Hi Bruce,

That's a very nice catch you have there. It looks like the UK is becoming the next Germany for nice G-Shock spotting. £10.50 is very cheap. It looks like new. Wear in good health.

    Cheers,

Yeah it is a nice feeling! Like Kurt, I've been selling off quite a few fairly expensive mechanicals. Every time I sell something, I buy a G or two to make up for it.

Ahhh... that is so cool... and the wife can't complain about that!

Hope you don't mind Bruce, I don't want to steel your thread.... but my wife got my little girl's hair braided last night and took an awesome picture and I wanted to share it with my friends. And I don't want to start a new thread to post it.

This is my girl... she just turned 5. The picture was taken on our front lawn.
