    Dw-9052 or DW 6600/6900

I am trying to decide on a new G-Shock. Many of the newer ones do nothing for me, I tend to like the older models. I am trying to decide between the Dw9052 and the Dw6600/6900. I need one that can survive getting wet, boating/swimming etc. (salt water).

Any input would be most appreciated.

Three fine models and it's largely a matter of personal taste deciding between them. The 6600/6900 are noticeably bigger, the 6600 doesn't have a 24hr countdown timer (but does have a 'target time' function with the stopwatch).

There is a little difference between the straps of the 6600/6900 and the 9052.
The 9052 strap is not "preshaped" for the wrist, so it allows more different wrist sizes then the 6600/6900.
But i never heard complaints about 6600/6900 strap though.

Anything else is depending on your taste, as tribe said.

I would go between the DW-6900 and DW-9052 I think. I love the classic DW-6900 look, but the display of the 9052 is looking good too.

    Cheers,

Can't go wrong with any of the three. I'd go with the 6900/6600 if you have bigger wrist. I have a 8inch wrist and the 9052 hurts to wear and doesn't fit right. My 10 year old son wears it now. The 6600 digits are the biggest of the three. If you have big wrist the mudman is another g-shock that fits great and has nice big digits. I dive, jet ski, swim, boat all in salt water all year long. Never had a G let me down!

    DW-9052 gets my vote

I prefer the look of it much more than the 6600/6900.

It also fits my 7" wrist very well.

My only complaint with the 9052 is the cheap looking chrome pins on the bezel and the gap between the bezel and band. The 6900 is Boss!!

The 9052 used to be my favourite G-Shock. I never noticed the silver pins until other people mentioned them here. Then I noticed them all the time.

The band arrangement is fine though. It's a conventional fixing rather than Casio's usual integrated fixing, and some people say it gives a better fit.
