    DW5600C Survives Toddler Test

I changed the battery in my "Speed" today and was wearing it when the time came to give my little girl her bath. Halfway through the bath she saw my watch and told me to take it off and give it to her.

She immediately threw it across the tub where it hit the porcelain coated steel with a much more voluminous thud then other Gs. She then took the watch and banged it on the bottom of the tub three or four times and then took it out of the water and started hitting it against the back wall and dragging it from side to side.

Needless to say it is still functioning flawlessly but I decided to take the watch away from her and let her play with an old Pathfinder Fishing watch I have. She really liked it when I strapped it to her wrist and showed her how to turn on the lume!

She seemed to like the large display and the big button to turn on the light and didn't feel the need to try and destroy it.

This test was awesome! Little kids, most of the times abuse their stuff harder than the average adult does. They don't just throw things all over the place, they bang them hard!

Good to know that G-Shocks are toddler-friendly toys/timepieces too!

    Good test!

I started wearing a G to give her a bath because it has a count down timer and also because she was doing the same stuff to my Omega Seamaster.

I was mostly worryed about the Speed because I has just changed the battery and wasn't 100% sure of the water resistance, that and the fact that it's getting valuable.

I should take a video camera in with me some time and tape her at work. Be warned it would be like Saw for watches though.
