    DW5600MS-1CR and DW5600MS-1DR -- difference?

    Hi,

I'm selling my Altis ti and hunting down a g-shock to fill the void. I'm very curious about the DW5600 series, but there seem to be different models within that series. They all seem very similar.

Is there a breakout of the different models within the DW5600 line?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

The very last two letters in most Casio model numbers usually indicates the global territory in which they are sold. Mainly they're identical across continents, so the two you have posted are identical DW5600-MS models.

If you want an overview of the DW5600 models officially available in your territory, the local Casio site is the best bet. If you want to go hunting for different variants, check the Casio Japan, Europe, HK, and Americas sites; or for a full rundown of all of them through the ages, check the G-Shock archive at Watchshock.
The Search function on vBulletin forums isn't very smart. If you want to search for a complete string in the G-Shock forum, or for posts which include multiple words, use Google, and enter site:forums.watchuseek.com/f17 into the search box. Then use normal google syntax after that to enter your search.

Thanks for the info, Maine. And that Watchshock link is fantastic. Now I just need to decide if I want the negative display!
