    DW5600MS Strange Marking

Just picked up a military 5600 and its great. I don't think the readability on this reverse display is as bad as its been made out to be.

Anyway this is the strange mark printed on the very bottom right of the glass lense. This is just below the word CHRONO. Its a dash followed by a zero and another dash.

Any ideas, here is a link to a pic with the same marking. It must be on all the DW5600MS-1 units, but what is it?

It's quite common on various models, but I'm not sure we have a definitive answer.

So might there be DW5600MS units out there that do not have the marking?

I feel cool with the marking.

I've no idea, to be honest, but the mark is nothing special.

I happen to be wearing mine today. Same mystery markings on mine.

i have no proof but i guess it has to do with the assembling process. so the robots dont make mistake, and put the glass upside down into the case.

That sounds like a good idea, to help the robots orient the lens. So these other pics have different markings, I see one with a zero and a line under the zero. I like my -o- better, my K in morse code.
