    Dye project : Baby-G

Here are the results of my dye project I did earlier today. My wife is an RN and wore the heck out of her Baby G. She stopped wearing it as it was getting yellowed.

I broke down the watch into it's components

Next I put brought 6 cups of water to a boil and dumped in a whole packet of RIT dye and boiled the plastics for about 10 minutes, and then rinsed them off and put them on a towel

Then into the hot 1 part vinegar / 1 part water mixture for another 10 minutes

    The dyed components drying...

    And the completed watch

Very nice! I like it much better than the original.

I wish Casio made more better looking Baby-G models. Most of them are too girly or light looking. I have a hard time finding ones that my girlfriend really likes.

I also prefer the after shot. After seeing that the wife is more interested in some of the Baby's. We can get here one she likes and then make it a color she wants. Wonder which one it will end up being?
