    dying my green mudman....

if i were to do this to my green mudman, would i be able to change it to black? Is there a particular thread that shows the step by step process? when you take the muddie apart to dye do you actually open up the module or does it come out as a whole? and if it does come open does it affect the water resistence??

I used 3/4 pack of RIT dark green (tried to dye a cammo mudman) about 5 cups water, and 1/2 tsp salt. Brought to boil, then simmer, put in bezel, band and keeper. Simmered about 20 minutes. Put on paper towel for a few minutes to cool, then soak in vinegar for 10 minutes or so to set dye. Wash in warm soapy water and maybe a really soft toothbrush if the dye clumped up anywhere.

Remove the side screws for the bezel, and the strap screws. you don't need to take the back off, I learned. The thread above is mine. The link below is a general dyeing guide.

    Have fun!
