Ebay Seller Info Please - bbtiesto

Has anyone dealt with ebay seller bbtiesto? Is he/she reputable and selling authentic g-shocks? Appreciate your help before I plunk down some hard earned green for a watch.

    Welcome.

There's lots of opinions on bbtiesto, and overall I have mixed feelings about this seller. He seems to get lots of rare G-Shocks, and between that and his keyword spamming on eBay it's hard not to notice him. I've been perfectly happy with some transactions with him, but he's not always 100% honest about the condition of used G-Shocks. He just seems to copy and paste the same description a lot of times, and throws in the word "Frogman" on about every item. Bbtiesto is never my first choice, but if he's the only one that has something I want, I'll buy from him after going over it all very carefully.

I purchased a used DW-003 from him several months ago and it arrived in two weeks. Was a little dirty but cleaned up. I would buy from him again.

He's a great source but you do have to be careful. Sometimes he swaps bezels and modules to create a "rare" G Shock. Most of the times he does indicate it but to the casual observer or new enthusiast, it may be confusing or misleading.

I've bought a couple of models from him, and have been happy with both of them, in fact I'm currently awaiting a Wademan from him - although it's been almost three weeks and still no sign

As mentioned his shipping costs are very high in relation to other sellers, and they take awhile to arrive. I normally wait 5-7 days for a watch from Japan, but from him it's nearer 3 weeks or more. Shipping fee's are stated in the advert though, and he does frequently have a good selection of rare G's.
    Current G's:
    GW-9200J-1 Riseman
    DW-004ASJ-8AT (stealthed)
    DW-9800 Wademan AR-3T ARTI
    DW-8800AJ ADMA's Full set of 5

    Wish List:

    G-7900 1ER - GW-7900B-1JF - GW-M5600BC -
    G-9000-8DVR Stormtrooper - GW-9100MB-1JF Gulfman - FTS-100 Forester

I bought a special edition DW-6900 from him, perfect condition and won it at a great price, no complaints here!

I agree with all the above answers....
He has many rare models and many custom made/modified ones .....
Sometimes the description is not very accurate but except for that I must say that he is probably a good seller.

    Good luck with your purchase

I bought several times from him. If you don't mind buying used G-Shock's, he's a good source. Just look carefully at the photo's. It's a kind of "What you see is what you get". Sometimes indeed modded, but for most people (non-collectors) sufficient. He seems to like a Dutch DJ too (actually from the Hometown of WUS to be more exact).

    Cheers,

I bought a gauss about a year or so ago. The watch had a cigarette smell that wasn't disclosed. Big deal for some, not a big deal for others.
I wasn't overly happy. It REAKED!!
With the amount he sells he obviously buys them 2ndhand which probably explains the condition of mine, but I would not have bid knowing this. By the time I got it, it wasn't worth the cost to do anything about. Sending it back would have been done at considerable cost.
If all you're worried about is shipping times and not getting ripped off, you should be fine.
