    That elusive G-Shock...

Just returned from my trip to Kenya and (lo and behold, the facts are pointless) met a Japanese dude who was wearing what looked like the iconic 5000, but supersized.

Couldn't get the model number and googling "dw-5000 large" didn't help either. Anyone where with some Jedi knowledge on this?

shame you couldn't have snapped his arm.

oh wait, I mean photographed his arm.

although on second thoughts, actually snapping it might have been productive hehe
The 7900's are my favourites, although the 56s are currently my focus. But nothing is excluded, except pink Risemans.

When you say "Supersized," that makes me think King. Perhaps the watch you saw was a GX56?

It looked like the 5300 but upsized and with blue trimmings. Wordings in white.

(Pardon my ignorance, but is the 5300 regular-sized?)

Being that it was a Japanese guy, it could've been one of those esoteric JDMs?

The dw5300 is a bit larger than the regular 5600s but not much. Maybe the guy had really small wrists

My other thought would be the gxw-56e-1j:

the closest I think would be the dw5300 though in the colours below, perhaps someone else has a better idea???

    humm ...

If its "large", then likely to be DW5300

If its "gigantic", then likelt to be a GX-56 of some kind

    here's a comparison by watchreport

Ok, I'm 90% sure it's a 5300, but in the color as above (not the red lines on the one made famous by Tom Cruise).

Does it have a different model number based on the color? Sorry I'm no G expert.
