Is it much different from the US market? I think the prices for new ones are much cheaper, but the EU customs and high shipping costs makes it not always worth to buy them in the US for me.

    Cheers,

new its prob not worth it, but theres a lot of used (not always abused) ones out there too... a riseman for $55 anyone?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

(fortunately i didnt have $55 or i'd have been crying... lol)

some of the older models like the Heavy Metal are easier to find over there (mine came from germany)

a lot of the g-lides that i've seen there used i havent seen in the US either.

now if i see a used dw-5000 for 5 euros i'll be expecting you to help me again Sjors... :-D

A used DW-5000.... I guess some big money people will have noticed that I think......
The DW-8300 is also grown popular in Germany. Could I get one for less than €20,- a few years ago, now they end much higher. I guess they watch Stargate also there

You can mark packages as gifts, but officially you need to pay tax over it too. In practice these packages are rarely opened, that's true.
