Thanks - I have one G shock, but I like these older ones (and the oder Gshocks too) Also the fact that these are all 300m wr whereas G shocks are only 200m, even though I only ever take them in a swimming pool!

I like the simple modules (always fall back to my 5600...) and those watches look cool. Closest to them im my collection are the DW 290 and the W 740. I really like the big buttons on the last one, although the first two have - to my eyes - the nicer look.
    Thanks for sharing.

    hi all
just found this thread on the 300 mtr models.
i have 2 dw340.. one is brand new in box never worn , 10 years old.the other was worn diving for years ,lived in a bag for 3 years never washed , beaten and used ,went back in 2001 for battery ,10 years out of the battery bought in 1991. new front ,strap battery . however not used for diving in the last 8 years lived on a shelf in the garage and then the shower attached to the soap dish for the last few years , the strap broke and the beep stopped working ,battery going again. so now its gone back again . probably now it must be ka put, waiting for the news . what a great watch .

Personally, I prefer the plastic cases of the nonG's over the rubber of the GShocks.

Interesting, didn't know Casio made 30 bar WR watches! Any others (analogs as well)?
