It finally happened - a bargain used G Shock!!

I bought my 1st G Shock in 1986, and have loved the brand for decades. I have also frequented charity shops in all that time and have never seen a single G Shock. However, that changed this morning. As I looked at the 'cabinet' in the local Cancer shop, I spotted it, and immediately asked the young lady if I could see it. As I examined it, I was sure it was a fake, kept looking for the words, 'G Schmuck' on the back, but it all looked OK. At the price, I'd have probably taken a risk anyway, even though I'm not familiar with this particular model. However, it all just felt right, the screen (unmarked), the bezel (unmarked), the buttons (all worked great), the engraving (clear and constant depth), all was fine, so I paid my money and ran out before someone realised their error.

Great looking G. Love the dual LCDs. Unexpected pick-ups like this are always the best. Congrats!

That's the thing, I'm a 'clean freak', and this watch was pretty immaculate on purchase. None of the usual skin detritus, layers of dirt etc, however, did my usual disinfectant ultrasonic clean, with toothbrush agitation, and she's a minter apart from a few minor desk diving marks on the buckle. She sparkles, and I just can't take my eyes of her especially now I've fully digested the instruction manual LOL

Feels good to find a bargain, 99% of the time the only watches you find are like toys. I have only ever found one nice watch in a charity shop and probably won't find another but it's fun to look just in case. Great find mate, enjoy
