Thumbs Up Finally Satisfied With the Mudman

I have this stealthed GW9000A. I absolutely love the look and functions of the watch, but never liked the fit and finish of the band. After numerous almost right attempts to right the situation (stealthing, Sunnto "C"clips w/NATO) I finally have it right.

Modified some strap adapters/end pieces and used very small spring bars to attach the adapters to the case lugs. The trimming was easy, but fitting the spring bars was very difficult and time consuming. A NATO band will not fit because of the extra buckle so I cut the extra strap off and now the watch is on a 22mm military style strap. Also, had to install the strap screws with some spacers to hold the bezel to the case.

    Really satisfied now!

Nice job. This mod definitely makes it look tougher. It's great that you found a combination that works perfectly.

Nice work and good for you! You've certainly given it a more robust and stealth look with those new end pieces! Very "Tacticool"!
(Btw, it looks like a battlecraft from some Gundam flick in the 3rd pic! )

WOW, indeed a great modification. Should get some more photos of the process and get it into the hacker's guide.

No way those spring bars are coming out on purpose! Way too frustrating putting them in.

That looks the bomb! I guess you're not going to be selling it anytime soon seeing you have just invested so much time into it.
