Cool First G!! Got the Riseman!!

    Hi!
Got my first G on the first day of the year! I bought the G-9200 in standard black. Really happy with this watch . I wanted something that would last me a long time as I'm a wearer rather than a collector. Took about half a day to get used to but after that it felt like i was wearing my other wearer.
The Altimeter, barometer and the thermometer work pretty well. The altimeter needs calibrating though. Tested this on the singapore flyer (giant ferris wheel). read 210m on the top and 45m at sea level. The actual height is 165m. When the maths is done, the altimeter is right . The baro predicted rain and rain fell. The thermometer gives the same readings as my aqw-101 .

Just a few questions, At the back of the riseman, there is a number which reads something like 202A three numbers and then 'J'. Does anyone know what this means?

On my riseman, the sensor on the left can be very very slightly pushed in. Has anyone had this on their riseman?

    Overall very happy with it.

I don't have Riseman and I can't answer your questions. All I can say is: Fantastic watch.
Maybe in future I will buy Riseman for myself. G-SHOCKs are addicting.
    Have a great day!

I'm definitely getting a Riseman in 2011. Just as long as I stop seeing the threads of these new 2011 G-Shocks...hehe...and other Casio models that people are posting about and stop purchasing other models. Hehe.... But the Riseman is in my will buy in first half of 2011 list!

Mine doesn't, but I've read other threads on here where people have said theirs do's, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Re: First G!! Got the Riseman!!

Awesome! I got my first G-Shock (Riseman, naturally) for Christmas because I do a lot of backpacking and mountaineering. The barometer is accurate, the solar cell keeps the battery nice, syncs every night. Love the dang thing. However, the altimeter and thermometer need calibrating once in a while. Still, an awesome timepiece.
    Good night, and good luck.

    Welcome to the forum, ChaBankuh!
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

Riseman was my 5th G, but definitely a fav (actually like them all, glad I don't have to choose- well other than every day choice of which watch to wear).
