    First G Shock!

    Hi all,

A complete newbie to G-Shock but thought I'd say hello with my latest pickup...

Was a bit fed up of my watches getting battered and decided to shell out for a beater. With a small budget i ended up picking up a G-9200MS-8DR, the non-atomic version of the military Riseman for £70 on Ebay. I quickly decided the gunmetal blue colour was really not for me so Tiktox supplied a black bezel and band and here is the result...

I must say I'm hugely impressed with the feel and quality and find it's making a nice change from some of my heftier divers. I think I would certainly have preferred the atomic version but this will do nicely for what I want it for.

I'm still not convinced with the red (pink) display! I guess this is probably a poor mans version of the Riseman MIMB that's just come out but I still prefer it to the normal red-eye version.

    Nice to meet you all,
    Steve

PS - Thanks to Gaijin for his recent help and reassurance
