    First G-Shock a GD100BW-1 with pics

Bought my first one about a week ago from Macy's for $99. I was torn between this and the negative display, but decided on this mirrored one.

It's looks like a negative display with a camera flash which is kinda cool.

Worn it everyday and Im happy so far. I believe this is in the X-Large line and it is big, but not too big I don't think.

    Nice Auto EL backlight too.

Congrats and great G to pick up. I really enjoy mine and consider it a keeper.
Yes, I am OCD. What gave it away?

I figured this is a good place to start, low price and a nice set of features in a package that's quite attractive.

My only complaint, if I had to call it a complaint, is that it's sometimes more difficult to read beceause of the mirrored face. When it reflects dark colors the numbers sort of blend it. Tilting a little more or less or using the light solves it, but I like a watch I can read with a quick glance.

I think I'm just gonna start saving a couple hundred for now so when I find a higher end one I want, it's easier to justify haha.

Congrats on a very cool first G! The GD100's are an excellent choice - and this Garish Black example is sweet. Enjoy!

Your first G is a good score. Congratulations! It won't be your last G and that is for sure! Cheers, Bill P.

This is the first live picture I have seen of this model. I did not realize that the display was a mirrored one as well. That makes it very nice looking. Great pick up!

I think that this one would also look nice in red and blue clothing so it is a good candidate for a bezel/strap swap.

Nice looking watch. I'd probably want one if they made it in a reverse display and if it were Atomic time as well. Is there any other version of this watch or is that it? I really like the mirror type display. Looks more modern that regular positive light blue displays.
