    First G Shock help

So I was thinking about getting my first G Shock and really like the look of the negative displays but have heard that they can sometimes be hard to read. I think I've narrowed it down to the GD350-1B or the GW2310FB-1. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

If your goal is to get the most readable negative display, the GD-350-1B is the one to get.

I think GW2310 fits smaller wrist size better, maybe. check the dimension and see.

If either one is good, I would go with GD350 because of the LED backlite and vib alarm.

The more contrast the better it can be seen. Some of the negative displays with colors matching the bezel etc can be less readily distinct.

The issue is how much you "need" the digital display vs just use it on occasions. The one on my black GAX 100 does just fine in good light, is chancy when in the living room with two lamps on - I have to tilt it toward one. With the LED it's a no go, when it's too dark all I get are the markers and hands.

On the other hand when its that dark all I need is the markers and hands. Day/date, etc or timing something, there has to be enough light to see the event anyway.

I always carry a small rechargeable Nitecore Tube which has 1 to 40 lumens, I can see the digital when I need to if necessary. I use the light for many other purposes anyway, and I've yet to bother in the four weeks I've owned the watch. Some do - and then it needs to be backlit anyway, positive or negative wouldn't matter as much as reflective does.

Basically we look them over on line, make a choice, live with it for awhile, and then add the decision to the working list of what makes a better watch, which then may trigger looking for another . . . .

They're both nice pieces. Im with Ocddave, just get both. Ha. But if I have to put my input I'd say the GD.

    Re: First G Shock help

All great points tirod3, I think the GD will do exactly what I need it to do with looking great, IMO.

The main problem is I do want them BOTH ocddave!! but since I started getting into watches seriously about a year ago I already have to many... yet still find fantastic new ones all the time. The black on black with negative display is hitting all the check marks for me so I found these 2 options in my search. I've never really looked into G Shocks so I have no clue what all they can actually do. They seem pretty amazing but not sure if there is a guide or something to look at/for when trying to decide which ones are best for you.

Agree, have both. Among the best of the negative screens.

As noted earlier, GW-2310 is good for smaller wrists, has a shorter strap and is solar-atomic

The GD-350 has a vibration alarm and wrist flaps.

    GW-2310FB
