First G-Shock just arrived! Loving it already

    Hey fellas,
I've never been a digital watch guy, I loooove automatics, but after seeing so many cool options and great reviews from the forum I decided to get one on "the bay". The 6900-1289 Military version REALLY caught my eye and I got one very lightly used for a pretty darn good price. I'm already loving it and really wondering how I got along for so long without one. I think its going to be great for work (LEO), gym, everyday wearer, etc.

So without further blabbing, here she is...
. The picture was borrowed from the seller's original ad.

I will get a wrist shot asap but literally ALL of my electronics (crackberry, digi camera) have sh** the bed within the last 2 days. When it rains it pours.

Thanks again for all of your pictures, reviews, info, etc. I learned a lot and can tell this may be my first, but def not my last G-Shock.

Congrats! Thats a nice watch. I saw a guy wearing that the other day and I noticed the red circle on the right really stands out. Wear in good health!

    Thanks guys, I appreciate it.

Maybe you can help me with one thing though. I want the light to stay lit for longer when I activate it. Is there any way to change the settings or is the two second light as good as it gets?

    Thanks again for the responses!

    Congrats on your first G!

There is no setting on the DW6900s to make the backlight stay on longer, but it will stay on for as long as you press the button.

NICE! I guess that's a little bit of a "duh-huh" on my part, huh? Hah. Thanks, I didn't realize that.

Welcome to the club. You'd think the fascination would wear off, but it never really does, heheh. My replacement watch from my previous Casio was another Casio. They grow on you, like a fungus, except in a good way, like tasty mushrooms, or mycorrhizal fungi, or your favorite uncle.
