    I realize it says water resistant, but is it really water proof?

    Actually the term 'waterproof' has been deemed not to be used with watches anymore.

    That watch is capable of going deeper than you probably will ever go. Wear it in good health, and wear the hell out of it! My sis bought me my first G shortly after I graduated from HS. I've done everything you can imagine to it in the past 14 years and it's still going strong. And if you stick around here long enough, I promise that won't be your last G!

    It is a great bang for the buck watch and has good modul with almost any function you really need.
