First post -- just got a Mudman

Thanks to all of you on this forum for posting so much information on G-Shocks. I've been lurking for a while now, and although I've got various other watches (Omega, Panerai, Seiko, Citizen), I only had one G-Shock, a GW-300. I was led to the site researching the whole battery issue with that one. FWIW, I've had it for 4 years and haven't had a problem and I mainly used it for recreational diving.

I was given a G-9000-1V as a gift today. I'm very impressed with it so far. I really like the fact it has a countdown timer as the GW-300 doesn't -- something that would have been handy on dives. The Mudman sits lower on the wrist that the GW-300. I'll spare you the wrist shot.

I've been eyeing the cream colored Mudman for the past week. I think I may have a problem

    Welcome, cnconner.

And yes, you do have a problem.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

It's okay. Everyone without a cream Mudman has a terrible gap in their collection.

    Hi Chris,

Welcome to our G-Shock Forum. Well, if you already have seen the white G-9000.... It was the first Mudman I bought and with the green Jam'in Color model, these are my favorite G-9000's. the display is very clear. My experience is that the display is visible at low light. Check Lexxorcist "Milkman Delivered" thread. A friend of me told me he found my display very friendly for the eyes in very bright sunlight too.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

    I know what you mean...

...those cream ones look good enough to lick.

The amber color of the display on the cream Mudman is what initially attracted me to it. My first thought was why Casio didn't offer the same amber tint on the black watches. It only appears they did that on the cream and camo. Oh well -- I guess options have got to stop somewhere and they were already offering quite a few options with their Mudmans.

Congrats. I got a V1 Muddy on the way but I'm already looking at other variations.

I really like the cream Mudman, but I'm too hooked on Solar/Waveceptor.
