    First Post.....Purchased a G300LV-7A love this watch

    Cool site.....

I was in Tokyo, Japan a few weeks ago and picked up a one of these G300LV-7A. There were so many choices to choose from but I wanted white and this was the only watch they had in stock. I know it's not the best but man I have received many compliments on it. My 1.5ct JoJo Diamond watch has not been worn in 2 weeks now lol....

Ok, this is going to sound real stupid to some but I was wondering if or how one would put some diamonds around the bezel. This will have to be custom done but I don't want to mess around with the watch too much. I've already got a quote on loose diamonds (about .5 to .7ct s1 quality princess cut).

Any info would be great....thanks in advance

    Welcome, nice watch!

I've only been in the G forum for a month or two, but I can say that this is the first time I've ever seen a post about diamonds.

You kidding? It certainly looks like a keeper. Of all the colors it comes in, it seems like white suits it the most.

Sucks to be without a G.

Welcome to the forum! About icing the G, I have seen pictures, and think it fits! To me, Gs are to watches as jeans are to attire - anything can be done with them. Good luck with the project, and I'm sure we'd like to see pictures!

    Welcome to the forum.

No idea on how (or IMHO why) anyone could attach some bling. I have never had even the slightest desire to attach diamonds to... well... anything LOL. Maybe a diamond cutting blade or bit.... But sure not my G shocks.

But to each their own I suppose!

    Enjoy the G!

Welcome to the forums BennyBlanco. G.

Just read this thread and was wondering if I was going to be the one to dissuade him from the "icing" idea. Come on folks, we mock these kind of ebay auctions but then noone breaks it to him. Like we welcome him and then in the end think..."like wtf? did I just give a thumbs up to iced out G's?"

In helping out your project though, googling for info on "how to glue diamonds", I get info saying diamonds shouldn't be glued in if you don't want to lose them and that it's a delicate process because glue distorts the sparkle blah, blah, blah...foil-back artificial gems and stones will just as easily fall off...that you're hard pressed to find a jeweler who'd glue diamonds on and backing up the type of work they'll be doing...metal is the only "secure" way to set diamonds...blah, blah, blah..

Now IMO, you want swarovski crystals on that watch, and not actually "real" diamonds right? If so just superglue it...It dries out at worst, milky white or if lucky, a transparent color. Although, you'd actually get more sparkle from foil-back artificial gemstones instead.
It's a very nice watch left in its stock "state" Benny...and I'd like to believe all of us here support what I'm saying with regards to just enjoying it "as is". But like what a decent WIS would do, I support "whatever rocks your boat".

    Really, though. Think hard.
