    Flea market found

And there they are, on a box mixed with other watches, and got a new owner.

Dw-5400 with gold buttons, looks good it has the screws, I'm really nervous, and I m so afraid of trying to remove it :( the battery was not liking, but the module, I can see on it some faded numbers, I don't have a battery for it right now, but I'm afraid it won't work :( what you guys think!?

And this poor little guy, marlin w-200 with signs of rust and water inside, I think this one won't be a winner on this restoration and the case is broken, anyone need this for parts?

Yep I know the module is up side down, my bad :)

    Cheers mates :)

ok, here is what I think I WOULD DO:

If the 5400 is same size as the 5700, then, I am sure bezel and module of the 5600e will fit (and I don't mind the circle lines on the glass)

therefore, I would just throw it into a bath of oil for a few days and get online to order the stuff i need: battery for this module to try out, inexpensive but reliable 5600e ...ect

maybe the glass from the 5600 will fit perfectly into this case? I don't know, it seems no one ever tried ?

i already have a set of bezel and and band on the bay, original as the seller mentioned, that´ my first choice, but like the idea of swapping thinks :)

what kind of oil are you talking about mate, need some advices on this restoration :( it will be my first , at least, as deep as this one!

    Re: Flea market found

First I would put in a new battery to see if it works.
CR2320, but a CR2016 is more common and will fit/work ok.
If it doesn't work, I would keep my eye on ebay for a cheap, working DW5200 to do a module swap.
    Finally,
I saw on ebay some seller in Spain is selling NOS 5400/5700 resin.

Here is a pic of mine ( except I have br resin)

That's nice mate did you get the Spain nos resin? I am waiting for that too....

    I have modules waiting too

    Always need resin!

If screws don't budge I push the resin over them.
If they snap I just curse and leave it.

    Re: Flea market found

Yes mate it was from spain, I hope yours doesn't get packaged as mine, wen I saw the package, I was like "oh no, cracked"... it deserved a better one! Thats really sensible material. But looks really good it is original from a dw-5700, I think because it says REM not 24HR, but really looks nice :)
I'm going to try to fit the bezel with some grease, it's gonna be hard, I want to see this little thing in my wrist, fully complete :)
