Off topic Free Lumpy!! De-blinged and fitted :)

Thought some of you fellas might appreciate this - seiko diver content and proof that this isn't the only forum with a great spirit http://www.thewatchforum.co.uk/index...howtopic=33616 <--seiko6139's lumpy giveaway post
The bracelet arrived last week, 1st class. I was impressed with the quality first of all, having never handled one before. It's very heavy and well finished, with a surprisingly decent clasp. This morning i tried it on the watch i had in mind for it, but soon realised that the polished finish was WAAAAY too blingy for my 6309-7040.
This afternoon i got out the scotchbrite pads and set to work de-blinging the bracelet. Halfway through, i thought a few pics might be in order :) so here they are...............

Here are a few comparison shots with half the bracelet finished and the other half still polished............

A few shots of the finished article on the watch...........

Lastly, some shots family shots :)

I think the results are great and the bracelet goes much better with the diver now, hope you enjoy the pics.

great job doing the unblinging. very nice 'brushed' steel.
the only thing i hate bout bracelet is they scratch easily.

    awesome job, Rusty !!!

    Excellent work

That bracelet looks 100x better in the 'after' shots.

So, once this one gets scratched up a bit, he just needs to get the scotchbrite out again. All good!

Took about 10mins with a scotchbrite pad i pinched off the cleaners at work

For reference, here's a picture with the type that i use, from another bracelet job..

As has already been pointed out, should scratches become a problem then just touch up with the pad again, it would take no time at all

A WIS classic, the lumpy. Much nicer de-blinged too.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...
