    Frog face

A couple of years before I saw from a japanese wesite that the G-SHOCK frogman actually looks like a frog's face if you look from ``sideways''. Well, the word sideway was vaguely translated and I wasn't sure from which angle it would appear like a frog. So I picked up my watch and tried to look from different directions but I couldn't figure that out. Until today I saw the backcase picture of the atomic frog.

Appearantly the two decoration screws represent the eyes!
    So here's what I think:

This is a frog opening its big mouth

    Frog with bad teeth

    Cyber frog

    Hehe great creativity there!

But on the new atomic froggie and the old DW-8200 there is also the protective button covers. If you put the DW-8200 like this:

Then the button covers will be frog eyes sticking out of the waters and the bezel part of the nose sticking up of the water.

The curved end of the strap (not present on the new atomic one) is supposed to be a shark fin sticking out of the water.

    Brilliant, TOPquark!
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

I'd never though of looking at them that way. I wonder if it's just a coincidence or not.
