Frogman strap & bezel fitment question...

    Hello!

I need some help and guidance.

I've got a GW 200MS-1 MIRB incoming. As the straps and bezel are all but extinct for this Frogman, I'm looking for a strap/bezel combo that will fit the 2422 module.

I'm thinking the GW225a set will fit as it also uses the 2422 ... should I make this purchase? Will these fit? If they won't fit, what can I purchase that will?

I realize that I'm asking a lot, but thank you in advance for your help with this. I don't want to destroy the only strap I've got if other more common strap/bezel combos are available.

    Cheers!
    Bill

Any GW-2xx resin will fit. Some bezels are still available from casio 200Z, 200MS, some of the 225s. Not sure which bands are still available. I tried to get a 200MS band last year, but only the bezel was available. 8200 Frog bands are also compatible. I've worn the MS bezel with a 200Z band and it looks OK. Not sure if 200Z bands are still available, but bezels are. Easiest thing to do is call Casio and find out availability today.

Re: Frogman strap & bezel fitment question...

Thanks for the comments. I was hoping the 2xx series were all interchangeable; gives me all sorts of options for colours and combos.

I contacted Casio through the e-mail; Jason Z. was prompt, but less than helpful...

"Do you have straps and bezels for the GW 200MS Frogman?"
"No, we are out of stock"

"What other straps or bezels would fit that same module?"
    "None."

I realize they are probably quite busy, but if I were a non-WIS or someone without imagination, his answers would be telling me that my watch is no longer wearable. Good for Casio I suppose, as I might have to buy another watch. But if the first one wasn't holding together, I might not be inclined to buy another ...

I'll start searching resin for the 2xx series watches and see what sort of combos I an make ... this will be fun!

It is fun. You won't get much help from Casio. You have to call and go through model by model and ask availability. You may want to try Tiktox also, they sometimes have some stock of discontinued stuff. If you really want a MS bezel, they tend to show up regularly on ebay for premium prices.

I have given my 200 many looks

As purchased, a beat up navy 200-2

With MS bezel, unknown black band, and bullbars

Summer look with 200Z bezel and 8250-9 band (wccs tribute)

Re: Frogman strap & bezel fitment question...

OK, wow, that's brilliant! I love the idea of having multiple Froggies but only the one module. Thank you very much for the pics and the ideas.

I contacted casiosalesandservice.com: Casio Watches | G-Shock | Pathfinder | Wave Ceptor | casio Watch Bands | Casio Repair Service | today and purchased a strap set and bezel from the Dawn Black. The MIRB and DB both share the 2422 module, so I think I'm on a roll. If this works out, more straps and bezels are in my future ...

By the way, absolutely no connection to the website shown above; they simply had what I needed so I purchased.
