    g-2000 battery change?

My G-2000 needs a new battery. I'll probably do it myself as I don't want to take it to some local who will scratch it or otherwise screw it up.

What size battery does it take? Do I need to replace the gasket? If so, where do I get it? I don't have a screwback tool so would you care to recommend one?

    Anything else I should know?

Or would you just send it somewhere?

The manual should tell you the battery you need. Otherwise, just open her up and take the battery to a shop and ask for one.

Tells you how to replace the battery and oil the gasket. As for a screwback tool, I have no idea which you should get. As long as its from a reputable place, I would assume it would be fine.

I did my own battery change on this model.

The battery is the cr2016 and you either need the tool to remove the screw back or something to tap the screw back round with that won't mark the back plate. I used some tufnol carp that I had laying around and some rubber jaws on the vice to hold the watch.

Silicon grease for the rubber o-ring before screwing it back together.

    Catch22.

I did one on a GL-110, which is pretty similar to the G-2000. Check out this thread:
